After enrolling on a production course at the UK’s National Film and Television School in 1988, Drew was awarded bursaries to the First Film Foundation’s screenwriting workshops and to Phil Parker’s Script City Screenwriting Masterclass.

He has since written a number of scripts for both feature films and TV drama, and in 2011 secured a commission from ITV Studios for a comedy entitled ‘Have You Seen Kate?’

His latest project – ‘The Big Idea’ – deals with the notion of whether advertising can actually sell the idea of Belief to an increasingly cynical yet gullible public.

Drew has combined writing with a career as a visual artist, and has had work exhibited at the ICA, Camden Arts Centre, and Mall Galleries in London, as well as in many regional galleries. In addition to writing, he has a full-time post at Alton College of Further Education in Hampshire, where he lectures in Art, Art History and Film Studies.
