Alex is an award-winning (Audio Verse Awards) writer and performer. His one-man shows Dead Air and Lynch Pin have been performed at sell-out venues around London and various fringe festivals and his short film Jack & Jill was nominated for Best Comedy at the London Short Film Festival and LOCO. His work has been shortlisted for BBC comedies like The Mash Report, Spitting Image and Mock the Week and shortlisted twice for the BBC Writers Room. Former Commissioning Editor for BBC Radio 4 Caroline Raphael said of his series Expenses Only (BBC Radio 4). "There has to be a truth at the centre of all successful comedy. So when you get sent an idea that is so blindingly obvious and of our times but that no one has offered before, from a brand new young writer who has a fabulous playful understanding of how you can tell stories on radio, knows absolutely of what he writes, and can write funny, your heart leaps. Alex was part of the writing team for podcast Wooden Overcoats (named as one of TIME Magazine’s '50 Best Podcasts of All Time') and is now writing and developing further projects with JMG, Story First Media and Spier Films.
