Originally from Los Angeles, California, Alex pursued her training in Media City, Manchester, specialising in media makeup, SFX, wigs, and hair. She later honed her skills as a hairdresser and advanced to become a master barber at the London School of Barbering. Her journey in hair and makeup began over a decade ago, working her way up through the ranks in the crowd rooms of period dramas such as ‘Home Fires’, ‘Jericho’, ‘Peaky Blinders’, and ‘Mary Queen of Scots’, before transitioning to design work. In addition to designing award-winning TV dramas and feature films, Alex has worked in fashion, commercials, and music videos for artists including The Darkness, Stereophonics and Shayne Ward. Based in the North-West of England, she is flexible and eager to travel wherever her work takes her.
