Business and Legal Affairs Consultant
Jane has a law degree from LSE and is also qualified as both a barrister and as a solicitor.
She’s an experienced media, entertainment, and intellectual property lawyer with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the media sector. Her particular strengths are in advising media and creative businesses on legal and business affairs matters relating to the creation and exploitation of intellectual property, including advertising, marketing, sponsorship, events, social media and web3, the metaverse, NFTs, digital fashion and AI.
She also advises on commercial contracts, including those relating to the digital economy and IT and on data protection and privacy issues.
Jane has worked with news publishers and producers, including News International, The Racing Post, Telegraph Media Group and ESI and with production companies such as Little Island Productions, ITN Productions, Various Artists and Ridley Scott Associates on commissions from ITV, the BBC, Channel 5, Netflix, Disney+ and AppleTV.
She has also worked with podcast producers (Testbed, Whistledown), record companies (Sony Music, EMI Music Europe), music publishers (Sony Music Publishing) and book publishers (Mirror Books, Canongate).
