Kitty Pidduck

Screenwriter

Kitty Pidduck’s background as a singer, songwriter and early years music specialist has stood her in good stead in her role as a screenwriter specialising in original children’s content. After attending writing courses and masterclasses at City University, Arvon and the London Book Fair, Kitty won a prize in the London Writer’s Competition with her short story for nine- to twelve-year-olds, ‘The Indian Rope Trick’, and an offer of mentoring from development agency, Spread the Word. Francesca Dow, Penguin Random House Children’s, called her writing ‘lovely and warm, very easy to read but with a strong voice’. Kitty’s first foray into screenwriting has resulted in two animation series – one for three- to six-year-olds and one for four- to seven-year-olds – both in development with King Bee Animation.
