California native Oneita Parker started sewing and designing by the age of eight. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. Promptly, she went to work in the rag trade first in Hong Kong and then in New York, but Hollywood drew her back. She’s been designing and making costumes for film and TV ever since. Oneita thrives on bringing to life each character’s costume via the director’s vision and the script. She is a hands-on designer who not only sketches her work, she can also manufacture the textures and sew the pieces. Oneita’s warm, inclusive personality puts the most nervous actor (or producer) at ease. With decades of experience she is a consummate professional, fast and always a problem solver. Based in Los Angeles, Oneita is available for work worldwide.
