Tim John

Screenwriter

Tim is probably best known for his film adaptation of the best-selling novel A STREET CAT NAMED BOB, which won Best British Film at the National Film Awards in 2017. Previously, following British television success as one of the original writers for "The Max Headroom Show", and writing for Hand Made Films, he pursued a seven-year career in Hollywood, writing features for nearly all the major studios as well as network and cable television.

Tim has re-written scripts for stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bill Murray, and penned episodes of TV series such as The Magnificent Seven (CBS), Jack London's Call of the Wild (for Animal Planet) and UK children’s programmes such as the BBC’s “Dennis and Gnasher”. Tim now lives back in England and won Best Screenplay at the 2017 German Animation Screenplay Awards for “The Journey of The Elephant Solimon”. His original series “SuperSchool” has recently been bought by German animation company Akkord.
